Project Overview
At the heart of every great structure is a story of growth and aspiration. For One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning, that story was about stepping boldly into the future. We partnered with Jim and Holly Wilson of Home Comfort Enterprises to transform a vision into a tangible landmark, a facility that doesn't just house operations but amplifies their corporate identity.
This 30,000-square-foot facility serves as a vibrant new headquarters, designed to be the focal point for HVAC service contractors across the Southeastern United States. It is a testament to what happens when practical needs meet visionary design.

The Impact
Our strategic approach utilized bold geometry, massing, and careful site orientation to craft a narrative of efficiency and style.
We designed the building's frontage to focus primarily on the Office component, giving it a distinct, welcoming professional face without diminishing the massive scale of the Warehouse. This delicate balance created a successful use of space and efficient connectivity between the administrative and operational sides of the business.
Our clients faced a problem every successful business hopes to have: they were outgrowing and outliving their existing space. But the brief went far beyond simple square footage. They didn't just need more room; they needed a statement.
The goal was to create an architectural aesthetic that acted as a seamless extension of their brand image. They needed a headquarters that would stand out, creating a lasting impression while navigating the complexities of a site bordered by residential neighborhoods.
Great design doesn't just look good; it behaves responsibly within its environment.
Improving the Fabric: The large development site presented unique zoning dynamics due to neighboring residential areas. We embraced this challenge, pushing the design envelope to improve the area's architectural fabric rather than disrupting it.
Passive Efficiency: We believe in harmony with the elements. The facility utilizes Passive Solar Shading techniques. This strategic design choice reduces solar heat gain while maximizing natural light, creating a bright, energetic interior while lowering overall energy consumption.
The true measure of our collaboration is the success of our clients. By reimagining their physical environment, we unlocked significant potential for their business.
Explosive Growth: The new structural geometric design allowed for a warehouse more than double the size of their previous facility, alongside an office space that also doubled in size.
Operational Capacity: This expansion wasn't just about space, it was about capability. The new layout increased the client's operational capacity by approximately 50%, positioning them for decades of continued leadership in the industry.
